August 3rd 2010 - National Express East Anglia Selects Icomera for On-Train Wi-Fi.
Icomera, the world's leading provider of broadband gateways for transport, announced that National Express East Anglia (NXEA) has awarded the company a multi-year contract to install and maintain Internet connectivity on inter-city services between London's Liverpool Street Station and Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich, in the East of England. NXEA plans to introduce Wi-Fi services for passengers on these routes at the end of 2010. The initiative has been partly funded by a £346,000 ($576,000) grant from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils. The investment will enhance perceptions of the mainline service, by offering commuters, business travelers and leisure users access to Wi-Fi which is now increasingly seen as a key component of an intercity-style rail service. NXEA awarded the contract to Icomera following a competitive tender process.

February 2nd 2010 - Icomera delivers integrated advertising for in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots.
Icomera has launched a new service that brings advertising to mobile Wi-Fi hotspots on trains and buses, and enables hotspot operators to generate revenues by offering targeted messaging to their customers. MoovManage Ads, an optional component of Icomera’s MoovManage web-based hotspot management service, allows operators to create and manage advertising campaigns and track their success. Advertisements are presented to hotspot users during their online session. It is estimated that hotspot usage increased in 2009 by 47%, bringing total worldwide connections to 1.2 billion [source: In-Stat]. MoovManage Ads provides a path for hotspot operators to increase usage by switching from paid to free Wi-Fi services, while retaining a way to generate income via targeted advertising.

September 28th 2009 - Icomera Connects US Fire Department Vehicles for Nuclear Emergencies.
Maple Grove Fire Department in Minnesota has chosen the award-winning Moovbox M200 to provide real-time, secure communication services on emergency response vehicles at broadband speeds. The Fire Department will take advantage of the dual redundant high-speed cellular links available in the Moovbox M200 to connect vehicles to a central command facility in the event of nuclear emergencies. The system was designed and provisioned by Icomera US distributor SinglePoint Communications of Portland, OR and included specialist public safety grade antennas and amplifiers to maximize signal quality and data throughput to the vehicles.

September 8th 2009 - Greyhound launches UK inter-city services with free Wi-Fi from Icomera.
Greyhound has selected Icomera's award-winning Moovbox M200 Mobile Broadband Gateway to provide Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS tracking on inter-city coach services in the United Kingdom. Greyhound, owned by Scotland-based transport giant FirstGroup plc, launched direct services from London to Southampton and London to Portsmouth with forty journeys each way, each day. The free Wi-Fi hotspot service will provide passengers with Internet access at speeds up to several megabits per second, using a 3G HSPA network connection from Vodafone. In addition to free Wi-Fi, passengers will benefit from at-seat power sockets, reclining leather seats and complimentary newspapers.

August 11th 2009 - British Airport Coaches Launch Free Passenger Internet.

Wrexham & Shropshire railway will offer free Wi-Fi services to rail passengers on all trains running between Central London and the UK Midlands. December 2nd 2008 - FirstGroup launches Icomera on-board Wi-Fi for Heathrow Airport coach link.
Icomera and
FirstGroup plc, the UK's largest bus and coach operator, have announced the availability of free Wi-Fi Internet access on the RailAir coach service linking Heathrow Airport with Reading in the heart of the UK’s technology corridor. The fleet of RailAir coaches has been equipped with the Icomera Moovbox M Series mobile broadband gateway that offers Internet access to passengers throughout the 50-minute journey at actual download speeds in excess of two megabits per second. November 12th 2008 - Icomera connects live CCTV trials on London buses.
Icomera has announced that its Moovbox technology has been selected to provide real-time communications for a major trial of live CCTV on London buses to improve public safety.
21st Century CCTV, a division of TG21 plc, has equipped twenty-one double-decker buses in North London with the technology, which allows live images to be transmitted to a central control centre shared by officers from TfL and the Metropolitan Police's Transport Operational Command Unit. The six-month trial on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) will monitor and analyse the use of the technology to decide whether it can help deal with incidents on buses more effectively.

November 5th 2008 - Over 3.5 million Wi-Fi sessions on Icomera public transport hotspots.
Icomera has announced that usage of its mobile Internet access systems deployed on passenger transport worldwide has exceeded three and a half million sessions. By the end of October 2008, over one million passengers had used Wi-Fi services across these fleets approximately 3.72 million times, a 272% increase in the last twelve months.

April 14th 2008 - British ferries get Internet on-board with Moovbox.
Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries has chosen Moovbox technology from Moovera to provide in-ship broadband Internet connectivity. Wightlin
has equipped ferries in the South of England running between the Isle of Wight and the mainland towns of Portsmouth and Lymington with

March 17th 2008 - Stagecoach targets motorists with free Wi-Fi on cross-Forth express coach services.
Transport group
Stagecoach is targeting motorists with the offer of free email and web access on its cross-Forth
express coach services in Scotland through the introduction of Wi-Fi technology. A total of 38 state-of-the-art vehicles in
Stagecoach’s express coach fleet operating between Fife and Edinburgh are being equipped with Moovbox Wi-Fi technology. More than 40,000 passengers a week using the X54, X58, X59, X60, 53 and 55 services
will benefit from the £36,000 investment in the new technology, which will be operation from 17 March. Business travellers
in particular will benefit from Wi-Fi access and be able to use laptops, Blackberries, PDAs or mobile phones to
access the internet while commuting.

March 11th 2008 - Sydney commuters get in-bus Wi-Fi over 3G HSDPA.
Hillsbus Co Pty Ltd has selected the Moovbox M Series to provide
in-vehicle broadband Internet connectivity and GPS-based tracking on bus routes in Sydney, Australia.
Hillsbus – a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Cabcharge – has equipped buses running between Sydney’s Hills

March 6th 2008 - WiFi usage on train triples - when free.
Free WiFi access for passengers on the UK's East Coast main line has lead to a tripling in usage, according to reports from train operator National Express. The company, which inherited the pioneering system developed by Icomera and previous franchise incumbent, GNER, made "free WiFi for all travellers" an important part of their bid to take over services on the routes. Since taking the wheel, National Express reports that volume has jumped from 30,000 on-board WiFi users a month to over 100,000 in January of this year alone.

Arriva Scotland West has chosen Moovbox technology to provide broadband Internet
access on the brand new Glasgow Flyer shuttle service. The fleet of eleven low-emission luxury buses, recently
commissioned at a cost of over £1.5m, operates between Glasgow city centre and Glasgow Airport under a contract
awarded to Arriva Scotland West by the British Airport Authority (BAA). Arriva Scotland West has equipped the vehicles

November 21st 2007 - Blackpool Council selects Moovbox in-vehicle Wi-Fi for mobile classroom.
Blackpool Council have chosen Moovbox technology to provide mobile Internet connectivity
for its latest initiative to make vital health services more accessible to the city’s young people. The Buzz Bus
is a vehicle equipped as a mobile classroom with computer stations, seating area, kitchen and clinic staffed by
youth workers and health professionals. The bus will travel around the town visiting schools, community centers

University of Southampton in Hampshire, UK has deployed a trial of Wi-Fi services on their Uni-link bus network in downtown Southampton. Passengers using
Uni-link’s popular U1 route between Southampton Airport Parkway and the city centre will now be able to check their e-mails, download music to their i-Pod™
or access the Internet, while on the move. The Moovbox M Series will also report bus location in real-time and collect statistics such as session length
and data transfer to help the University analyse passenger use of the service.

February 6th 2007 - Oxford Tube Wi-Fi service wins passengers from trains.
Around 4,500 users registered for the service during a three-month trial, which saw all 25 state-of-the-art vehicles in the
Oxford Tube fleet equipped with Moovbox Wi-Fi technology. The trial was such a massive success – with more than 16,000 online
sessions and an average duration of 42 minutes - that the service is being made permanent.

January 18th 2005 - Icomera signs world's largest onboard wireless Internet deal with SJ.
Icomera, the leading provider of wireless Internet solutions for trains, has today announced an 11 million Euro contract with leading Scandinavian train operator, SJ, to equip its fleet with Icomera's Wireless Onboard Internet Service. The deal consists of Icomera delivering their Intercity Edition for the current X2000 train type and Commuter Edition for the new X40 fleet; and will also mark the roll out of Icomera's 3G/Satellite-enabled Wi-Fi service - a world first for the rail industry.

September 20th 2004 - Icomera On-board Internet Service is just the ticket - GNER enjoys fast return from new wireless Internet service.
Just three months after launch, UK train operator GNER is looking at a fast return on its new on-board wireless Internet service from Icomera. Not only are passengers using the service in ever greater numbers, the operator is also seeing an increase in the percentage of passengers travelling in first class where the service is provided free.

April 6th 2004 - GNER, Icomera announce commercial agreement to deliver real-time wireless internet on trains.
First commercial agreement in UK concludes successful trials. Icomera today announces that it has been appointed by GNER to deliver real-time wireless Internet to GNER's fleet of trains, concluding the UK's first successful train-based trial.

July 1st 2003 - Icomera selected as Winner of European IST Award.

April 15th 2003 - NSAB-SIRIUS to provide satellite capacity to Icomera's Wireless Onboard Internet solution for trains.
Icomera AB, a wireless data communication company, and Nordic Satellite AB (NSAB-SIRIUS), a leading supplier of satellite services in Northern Europe, today announced a strategic satellite communication agreement. The agreement will have NSAB-SIRIUS providing satellite capacity in their territory to Icomera's "Wireless Onboard Internet" solution for trains.

Scandinavian train operator Linx AB and Icomera AB, a wireless data communication company, today announced a five-year agreement to fit Linx's fleet of high-speed trains with "Wireless Onboard Internet".
