Recognizing Influence: Jackie Morales Named Among Progressive Railroading’s Women of Influence in Rail

Jackie Morales, Project Manager at Icomera, has been recognized in Progressive Railroading’s first-ever Women of Influence in Rail (WOI in Rail) program, celebrating individuals who bring outstanding leadership and impact to the rail industry.

It’s no surprise to anyone who’s worked with Jackie that she’s been chosen for this honor.

Managed Teams Across the World

Over the past two years, Jackie has been a key player in managing and delivering high-profile projects that have transformed intercity rail travel. Her commitment to putting rail operators first makes sure every project she leads focuses on meeting the needs of the client and exceeding the expectations of the end-users – the passengers.

Just this year, Jackie led two major multimillion-dollar projects to upgrade intercity rail fleets with cutting-edge 5G connectivity, giving passengers modern, reliable Wi-Fi, marking a big step forward in improving the passenger experience.

The largest team — spread across 20 locations across four countries — managed by Jackie wrapped up these projects four weeks ahead of schedule and stayed within budget. Her ability to juggle global resources with precision and efficiency really highlights her incredible organizational skills.

Her knack for scheduling, careful risk management, and coordination with external suppliers and subcontractors all play a big role in her ability to consistently exceed expectations and set the bar even higher.

Making an Impact

Jackie’s impact goes well beyond her work at Icomera—it’s felt across the entire rail industry. Thanks to her leadership, she’s introduced major process improvements that benefit both the company and clients, paving the way for long-term success in onboard systems technology. Her knack for managing complex systems integration with precision showed what’s possible with a forward-thinking approach to rail connectivity projects and multi-year programs.
