Deutsche Bahn has implemented free Icomera Passenger Wi-Fi on their trains in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. Selected trains between Münster and Mönchengladbach are now fitted with the same technology that has previously only been available on Deutsche Bahn’s ICE trains.
DB are piloting similar projects in other areas, with successful results. Icomera are working with DB to improve the solution for areas with less network coverage. DB plans to provide more details about the technical solutions at a press conference and demonstration in Münster on Thursday 9th March.
