Passengers have communicated their delight with the reliable, high-speed passenger Wi-Fi, which has been compared to the rapid speeds reached by the trains themselves.
The Frecciarossa fleet leverages the power of Icomera’s high-performance X-Series mobile Internet connectivity platform, in conjunction with Trenitalia’s own custom-designed cellular antenna arrays for high-speed trains. The two systems combine seamlessly to deliver quick and reliable LTE-A connectivity across all trains where the solution is deployed.
The deployment of the new onboard connectivity solution is taking place in a phased approach to ensuring minimal service downtime and, once completed, will allow ever more passengers to be productive and entertained across their journeys.
