Trentbarton is investing £3.5m in new Alexander Dennis Limited Enviro200 buses, to be deployed on the mickleover and nines services from November.
The company operates routes between Nottingham, Sutton, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Leicester. The new buses will feature superfast free 4G Wi-Fi, bringing greater connectivity to those travelling long distance journeys on rural routes. This investment marks an ongoing commitment to Icomera Wi-Fi installation across the trentbarton fleet, with free Wi-Fi on board over 60 of the operator’s buses to date.
The new buses will also feature visual and audio next-stop announcements, USB charging points at every seat, and two multimedia shelves per bus, allowing customers to comfortably work or play while charging their devices.
Jeff Counsell, Managing Director at trentbarton, said: “We can’t wait to get these new vehicles on the road. We’ve worked closely with our friends at ADL to take these buses to a whole new level and offer passengers something exciting and unique.”
