Icomera today announced that FirstGroup Plc has selected Icomera to provide broadband internet to passengers using its new airport to city Glasgow Shuttle service. The service began operating on January 1st 2011.
The Glasgow Shuttle fleet of ten new luxury buses represents an investment of over £1.5m in the service by FirstGroup and will be operated by First in Glasgow in association with Glasgow Airport and BAA. First in Glasgow have equipped the vehicles with the M200 series broadband gateways from Icomera, which enable passengers to access the internet at speeds up to up to several megabits per second, using a 3G HSPA network connection from O2.
