On 22nd April, Icomera will be joining Axis Communications and Sound Intelligence to deliver a talk at the Counter Terror Expo in London. The talk will focus on how intelligent surveillance can help to protect passengers, staff and assets on transport networks.
The Counter Terror Expo is the world’s leading event dedicated to reducing or alleviating the threat of terrorism. Last year, over 8,500 people working in the protection and security sector attended, coming from a range of public and private backgrounds. The expo is also a showcase for some of the most cutting-edge technology in security and counter-terror, used to launch the latest and most innovative security solutions.
Icomera and its partners will be participating in the event’s Transport Security conference. Together, they will be presenting solutions to strengthen the security on public transport with a combination of patented technologies that recognise and report threats faster and more intelligently than ever before.
Given that transport networks are often key targets for terror attacks, they are of prime concern when planning against terrorism to ensure the safety of passengers. Connected surveillance means that footage can move from forensic or retrospective use to real-time reporting, allowing operators to act as soon as an issue arises.
Magnus Svenningson, Head of Business Development at Icomera, said, “Icomera, Axis and Sound Intelligence share a vision of using technology to make the world a safer, smarter place, and together we are working to make that a reality. Speaking at the Expo and helping to fight against terrorism is a responsibility we take incredibly seriously. Of course, the work we have accomplished is valuable for more common security threats as well, and will help passengers to feel safer as they travel.”
