November 4th 2015 – Icomera is delighted to announce that UK rail industry veteran Keith Howard has joined its management team as a non-executive advisor.
Keith holds over 30 years’ experience of applying best practices in corporate governance at board level and until recently was the Commercial Director of Porterbrook Leasing. Speaking on his decision to accept his new role with Icomera, Keith said: “It’s really exciting to be working with the industry leaders in this sector at a time when Wi-Fi is becoming a mainstream requirement for the UK rail industry.
“While passenger Wi-Fi is a wonderful enhancement to the journey experience, for me, even more exciting are the connected vehicle applications that Icomera is making a reality through its high-performance wireless Internet connectivity. These offer the potential for real bottom-line service and fleet operation benefits.”
Icomera works with a wide range of application partners – a network of certified independent software vendors, equipment manufacturers, and system integrators who are all leading specialists in their fields – to provide innovative solutions for vehicle manufacturers and transport operators. Examples of connected vehicle applications deployed today include passenger infotainment, onboard safety and security systems, and remote centralised fleet management tools.
Dave Palmer, Managing Director of Icomera UK, said: “We welcome Keith to the Icomera team. He brings with him many years of rail industry experience at the highest level. Together with Icomera’s existing board members from Bombardier and Volvo, this appointment demonstrates Icomera’s continued commitment to and focus on the transportation industry.”
