“I was impressed by the Wi-Fi speed, overhead storage compartments, footrests, large tray tables and new bus. These aspects — especially the quality Wi-Fi — will encourage me to book with FlixBus again when given the option.”
“Surprisingly fast” complimentary Wi-Fi, a diverse selection of onboard entertainment, great overhead storage compartments and that “new bus smell”. These are just some of the great features passengers can expect on board the new Flixbus fleet in the United States (US) according to the latest review by ‘The Points Guy’
FlixBus, already a popular transport operator in Europe, has ‘crossed the shores to America’, the 28th country in which it now operates. The US launch is the biggest to date, starting with 180 connections across California, Nevada and Arizona and with another 400+ connections to be announced.
Flixbus commenced its inaugural US journey on May 31, departing from UCLA in Los Angeles at 5:55 am and arriving in Downtown, Las Vegas nearly 6 hours later.
‘The Points Guy’, an American travel website that provides hands-on travel advice, was on board this journey to review the travel experience.
During their journey, ‘The Points Guy’ noted the “surprisingly fast Wi-Fi” on board, supplied to FlixBus by Icomera, commenting that the 15Mbps download and 8Mbps upload speeds were “faster than many hotels”.
In addition to the impressive Wi-Fi speeds, FlixBus vehicles features free onboard entertainment, delivered to passengers via their personal smart devices via the onboard Wi-Fi Hotspot, without the need for an “app or additional software”.
The diverse entertainment library includes the latest blockbuster movies, TV shows, a selection of Audiobooks, eBooks, magazines and games to keep passengers entertained. The Points Guy went on to say that the entertainment selection “was current and loaded almost immediately.”
