Go North East have relaunched their X21 Castle Express service with a £2m investment in a fleet of seven Wrightbus StreetDecks.
The new buses come with luxury features and extra comfort, including leather seats and tables on the upper deck. They also have free Icomera Passenger Wi-Fi, USB connections, power sockets, and next-stop announcements.
The service runs between Bishop Auckland and Newcastle via Durham and Chester-le-Street, and is part of a wider £10.5m investment in 47 new buses this year, all of which will host Icomera Wi-Fi, expanding Go North East’s existing fleet of buses with Icomera Wi-Fi.
